Thriller movie 3 (Man on Fire)

Man on Fire is an American thriller directed by Tony Scott. The film is about an alcoholic former U.S. Marine Corps Special Operator and CIA officer named John Creasy who is hired as security for a nine year old girl, but she lives in Mexico City, which has a high rate for kidnapping. The girl is then kidnapped, Creasy bring seriously injured in the process. He then goes on a hunt to find the girl and take out whoever kidnapped her. But there is a big twist at the end of the film....
Opening Scene

The opening scene shows an alcoholic, 'burnt-out' ex U.S. Marine Corps Special Operator  and Central Intelligence Agency (C.I.A.) officer named john Creasy looking for work and meets up with an old friend and comrade, Paul Rayburn who runs an security firm in Mexico. due to the high kidnapping rate for ransom money, a business man hires Creasy through Rayburn to guard his nine year old daughter Pita, in order to protect Pita for a short time until he can renew his 'kidnapping and ransom insurance'.

Camera Angle and Camera Movement
The wide open shots capture the true essence of the city's residence and breathe life into it as if it were a character, much like New York in 'Taxi Driver'.
The editor on the other hand, puts fear into the audience. He does this by using overlays and tremor effects throughout the film, which give the audience a sense of urgency and intensity that otherwise would be absent. Tremor and lighting, subtitles and swift camera work all contribute to the success of this film.
Lastly, each scene is hot from different types of angles. This serves to Tony Scott and his cinematography hundreds of options when it comes to the scene set up. Point of view shots, extreme close-ups, especially while the voice is on the phone and the movement of perspective camera shots are all implemented throughout the movie. The movie would not have a fatiguing effect on the audience if there was not so much movement out of the cameras.

Thriller movie 2 (Blade:Trinity)

Extra Large Movie Poster Image for Blade: Trinity
Blade:Trinity is a good supernatural Action thriller which was directed by David S. Goyer. The film is about vampires trying to take over the world and a half vampire, half human named Blade, played by Wesley Snipes, is trying to prevent them from doing so, but due to the existence of vampires being unaware by humans, so Blade is seen as a serial killer.
Most fight seen were perform by Snipes himself, due to Sniped being an Martial Artists and has perform these kind of stunts in most of his action packed films.
Opening Scene
The film starts of with a group of vampires out looking for Drake (Dracula) and they eventually find him and wakes him within an Syrian Ziggurat  tomb and Drake then kills one of the members who set out in finding him. The scene is then changed to Blade who is an vampire killer and due to the world being unaware of vampires, Blade is seen as a serial killer. Due to this, the vampires use this to get Blade arrested by the FBI, due to someone posing to be a vampire and let Blade kill him. Blade's mentor sacrifices himself by blowing up the secret hideout in order to try and defeat the FBI and also being seriously injured.

Mise En Scene
The film was set in Vancouver and had no known digital edits made to the city, which had a change to stereotype  because when you thought of vampires, you'd normally think of a medieval type scenery. Also the props didn't really make you think of vampires, normally you'd see someone with a crucifix or something, but Blade had a sword, which wasn't really what you'd expect when you thought of a vampire killer.

Production
The film was produced by New Line Films Production inc., which is commonly known as New Line Cinema, is an american production company.

Another production company that was involved was Marvel Entertainment. Marvel was also the creator for the Blade franchise through Marvel comics, which was first created in 1973.

Thriller movie (District B13)

Extra Large Movie Poster Image for District B13I chose District B13 (Banlieue 13) because it is a Action Thriller directed by Pierre Morel. The consists of a lot of stunts and 'free running' perform by the characters themselves.  The films shows social problems such as Drugs, Violence and organised crime within the streets of Paris.
Analysis
This film is a great action packed thriller for many different reasons. A great reasons why this film is a great thriller are:
Stunt
David Belle, who plays Leito, performed most of the stunts himself, including the amazing leap from one building to another, which you see in the image on the left. The camera faced an certain angle so that the audience was able to see that this 'life-or-death' stunt was perform by the character (Belle) and not a stunt double.
Cyril Raffaelli, who plays Capt. Damien Tomaso, also perform most stunts by himself, due to Raffaelli being a Parkour which is an holistic training discipline where participants do movements through military like obstacles, so basically 'free running'. And coincidentally Parkour was created by David Belle, Raymond Belle (David's father) and Sebastien Foucan.

Opening Scene
In 2010, violence, drugs and organized crime have overrun the poorer suburbs of Paris, especially a district known as District Banlieue 12 (B13). the scene cuts to three years later where an federal system has developed among the street gangs of B13. the area is flooded by gangs selling heavy drugs such as heroin. One high rise apartment block is looked after by an athletic and street wise man known as Leito. leito hates drugs and injustice and wages a one-man war against a neighboring gang lord name Taha Bemamud to keep his own building and the people safe and free of drugs. Leito captures 20 kg of cocaine from Taha,, worth over a one million Euros, which causes Taha to send his thugs to recover the merchandise and do whatever is recurred to retrieve it. the gang of thugs is led by Taha second man in command, K2. before K2 can get to Leito, Leito destroys the cocaine using bleach and uses his parkour ability to escape Taha's thugs through the building.... and rooftops.

Mise En Scene
The mise en scene gives the audience a sense of poverty and danger. You see the traditional estate/project housings, making the audience think of drugs, crime and other law breaking activities. These thoughts are brought to life as you see the drugs boss taking cocaine, criminal activities that are committed and all the guns and weapons in which the criminals are carrying.
The props also added effect to the film. The way that Leito looked, made you know that he wasn't a millionaire or was involved in a well paid job, it showed that he was more of a 'street' looking character.

Camera Angles
The film directors perform extreme stunts and they use the camera angling to add more suspension to the film. When Leito leaps from building to building, they use a side shot to show that the actor David Belle actually performing the stunts. This was used to show the audience that the stunts are actually perform and computer effects wasn't needed. There was also Birds Eye View shots which showed the area/setting in which the film was being set in. This made the audience think of poverty and due to the smoke, made you think of a town in havoc and most likely not safe to live in.

Production/Distribution
The film was distributed by Momentum, which is an UK independent distributing company.

Another distributor is Magnet Releasing (Magnolia Pictures), which is an US distributing company. Magnet releasing is the Genre film distribution for Magnolia Pictures.
